Looks like Apple is releasing an S7 Edge - in 2017

Sigh can't view .. Forbes won't let me due to an adblock (I am at work and our firewall blocks it automatically). I will view later on my phone.

Not really that surprising to me, since Samsung has been the source of the displays seen in some other phones with curved-edge displays.

There's a few phones from Chinese OEMs that use Samsung's edged display. One of which is the Vivo XPlay5.

On phones with OLED displays, it's very likely that the manufacturer of these panels is Samsung. Samsung seems to be the giant gorilla when it comes to mobile OLED displays.

Sure, LG makes OLED displays too, but that's for their TVs. They made a few for the G Flex, but other than that, they're usually IPS LCD.

Should be interesting to hear what iPhone users have to say about this when Apple tells them it's OK to talk about it :)

Well, Apple has been ordering displays from Samsung for the iPhone 7, so it makes sense that they may as well use their phone designs as well... :D
