Yeah agree. I guess we"LL find out next week when the Mate 10 is unveiled....unless it's still running emui 5

Yes, they are just trying to streamline things so your average consumer doesn't get confused with Oreo vs emui numbering. Similar to what Samsung did with the note series, skipping 6 and going strait to 7.

That's a good idea since some people don't realize the difference between emui version and Android version.

Not a huge change. A lot of reviewer said it's very similar to EMUI 5. Some even said you wouldn't noticed anything different.
