Looks like I'm going in for S6 #3...

Bit the bullet and tried one more time. Verizon sent me a 4th 128GB and it has the same issue. I can't believe that it seems nobody at either Verizon or Samsung cares to address the packaging and quality control. I appreciate that Verizon sent me another phone but this is really disappointing. I really wanted this phone. I bought 6 or 7 cases and a couple of screen protectors (Amazing that a cheap case comes in better condition than a phone). I even bought two wireless chargers- what a waste? I started with Palm and spent the last 5+ years with Android. I think I'll just wait it out until next fall and do what I originally thought was unthinkable. At least I will get a quality device. Good luck everyone.
Did they not give you the option to the exchange in person? If you can do it online only, speak to a line manager. It is almost impossible to believe that four devices had a defect.

They don't carry the 128 in store. If possible, I will never buy a phone online or by phone again. I have pictures of the last three. Even sent one to Verizon upon delivery the second time when this happened and they agreed it was wrong. Went to return two in store as a supervisor suggested to speed things up and they wouldn't even take them without activating each one and charging a fee so I left. They've worn me down and it's not worth the fight anymore.

Did you try BestBuy to see if they had it in stock?

Unfortunately, the big box retailers don't carry them in-store either. I think they just started making them available for online ordering. I actually tried to order from BestBuy instead of Verizon last time but they wouldn't allow for store pickup. I figured at that point, I'd be better off gambling again with Verizon. Guess I bet the wrong horse?

Is it possible for you to change carriers? I would have raised Cain and Abel with VZW otherwise until I got a device without a defect. Sorry you have had such rotten luck.

I hear you jcp. There's only so much time to waste with Verizon phone support. Every call is an hour plus. Wife is happily on an iPhone laughing at my luck. She made me switch to Verizon a couple of years ago. My original order was the day after release. This has been going on for about a month and a half. Probably not worth it anymore. I'll just use my phone through the summer or until it dies. Would really like a new one...

Have the device shipped to your local Verizon and unbox it in the store, if it doesn't satisfy you then tell the Employee's and have them reorder you another one until you get the desired results
