Always been an Apple guy with family members all on Apple devices. I've always also had a trap phone - more often than not an Android device and I've never had the inclination to change. Also bought the Galaxy S7 edge as a trap phone and just thought I'll give it a whirl on my main number. With hesitation I turned off iMessage and Facetime and started using the S7 edge as my main phone.
One thing that jumped at me is how clear and loud the calls sounded. I was thinking I should visit an E&T specialist when I had my iPhone but my ears actually ache if the volume is too loud now.
Secondly camera has been nothing short of stellar on the S7. Some pictures look a little sharper but rather that than hazy.
Third battery - the price I paid for 2 day battery on my iPhone is the humongous form factor. S7 lasts longer and is smaller and therefore better for one hand use. Yes, the iPhone burns less battery in standby but I'm a heavy user so that's a moot point.
Long story short, I switched my sim back to my 6S plus this weekend. It was a huge disappointment especially in camera. The pics were a let down and I can't believe I've used this phone for so long. Come Monday morning, I've swapped the sim back to my 'trusty' S7 again.
Looks like the iPhone has lost out the race for my pocket. And I feel that since I've successfully broken the apple dependancy on iMessage and Facetime, going back seems ill advised.
