Did anyone notice that phone did not even look like a Fascinate? The Chrome trim was WAY too large and the corners were rounded like the Vibrant or GS4G.

You're right it did look slightly different, but maybe it's a european fascinate. I'm not sure if there's looks different or what not. Either way this is just another rumor like any other... Believe it when it's 100% official news.

It was a white one so I think that's what we saw.

If that is the case, our guys have it too. They are just working to get it running right before they release it to us. That is why DroidX said that the other day. That we would have it soon.

Not going to happen any time soon. Our devs don't have it. Eventually, but even then not sure any of us are going to want to run it. If everything I'm hearing and seeing is correct, it is a very early build, and thus will be full of all kinds of bugs. What this really means for most of us is hope that there will eventually be a Gingerbread release for our phone.

Well I guess soon is a relevant term. The leak has been released, but it will take a while for the devs to work their magic. Plus since this is a leak there is no source code, so they will be limited as to what they can do with it.

Seriously?! WOW! This is great. But yes, I am still cautiously suspicious of all this. But hopefully our devs can get something out there. At least so we can get some security features updated.

with Ice Cream due out 'sometime in Q4', if Samsung/Verizon can get Gingerbread (official release) to us in the next 3-4 months), we could actually be sporting the most current version of Android for a month or so. Probably just in time for many to upgrade to Nexus 4G.....

i am a noob but one thing that seems strange to me is the baseband is an EC version
we went from DL to EB to ED (makes basic progressing sense (DL would be before EB and EB is before ED alphabetically )

but moving backwards from ED to EC seems illogical?

might just be me...

The way that works is as follows:
The first letter is the year; D=2010, E=2011, etc...
The second letter is the month; A= january, B= february, etc...
The numbers represent the day;

So with that being said, EC09 is an older build than what we have currently, indicating it is an alpha or early beta
