Losing 4G

It completely shuts down the radio on my phone. I thought I was having radio issues. When it does it, I toggle to 3G, then back. It seems to turn it back on.

Same complete signal loss here in Atlanta too. I wonder if that helps kill my battery life even more of late?

Same issue here in Kansas City. My Rezound drops from 4G to nothing. Not even 3G or 1X. I have another friend here in KC who has the Galaxy Nexus with Verizon and he has had no problems.

I am stuck on 3G...but I wonder if its this same situation or if it's because I rooted my phone? I don't know...kind of lost.

My Rezound keeps loosing data connection, goes from 4G to down to nothing!! It's really annoying. I even went to a Verizon store to get my sim card swapped out and nothing!! What could be causing this?? It's been working good until this past week.

I went to vzw today and they don't seem to believe that this is happening. I've been having this happen for two weeks now.

Having the same issue in Charlotte Nc. All others that I talked to around here are having the same issues. Annoying... It seems worse in the AM through noonish. I never bother to waste my time calling Verizon bc they never know anything.

astounded by my rezound

After having pulled my SIM card, factory data reset, and certified like-new replacement, still the same issue. Finally, someone from Verizon started really digging into it and they fixed it. My phone's been working great for the past 24 hours.

That's why I love Verizon. They're not perfect, but they do their best and make things right. They even took $10 off my bill for my trouble.

I spoke with the San Bruno, CA Verizon store. They know about the issue and per the sales girl, it's only affecting certain devices. Software patches are being released. I don't think the local store really knows what is going on, but I do agree that this appears to be software related. I'll bet ICS will clear up the 4G drops.

The thing us that it's not a 4G drop, but just the network itself turning off. You would have to turn it back on in settings.

Can you elaborate any more on what the "digging into" entailed that the vzw employee did?

I'm in Southwest Florida and my 4g has been shutting off and on for about a week now (without going to 3g). If I force in on cdma only (3g) it stays on.

I've had no problems up until now. I wonder if any other phones are having this problem or is it just the Rezound?

I'm in the Tulsa area in Oklahoma and mine started doing the data drop thing this morning. I left the house and had Pandora on and after the first song nothing happened, looked at the phone and it had signal but no data. Just for reference we have had 4g here since last summer.

Yes its other phones as well, my Droid Razr has the same problem. I got so sick of it I put the phone on 3g only. I really hope the ICS update for my phone will help this issue. I have tried turning it off and back on, pulling the sim card, and switching on airplane mode on and off. I can also confirm that i had the same issue in Phoenix AZ, Las Vegas, and Grand Rapids MI because i just took a trip out west. So its not select networks.
