makes sense. my old 3g phones (iphone 4s, sony ericsson xperia play, htc eris) all never lost 3g connection in my home/work. Worst case it drops to 1x connection.

My nexus would just not connect at all sometimes. Setting it to 3g cdma only mode kinda fixed it but it still occurs.
