Losing data

Recently I've been losing my mobile data connection. The only thing that has changed is I received a new sim for a separate issue. Put the sim in and could get it to activate. So I put my old sim in and it's been working fine. Except now I'm getting the occasional signal drop. The 2 places I notice it most are in my office. In one location I'm getting signal from a repeater so I kinda figured it was just the nature of the technology. But in another area of the building I usually get good 4G and it has been dropping and coming back sometimes. Also noticed it on the interstate but again might just be that spot or environmental factors

Have you tried turning data off/wait a few/on and airplane mode off/wait a few/on? That worked for me when I went out to the farm with crappy signal and when I returned to a place with great signal I couldn't get data back...Maybe a quick turn off and battery pull as well..

It's when I'm stationary usually. So it will have data, drop, then return after maybe 5 seconds.

I've been using the Airplane Mode workaround as well. The issue I notice the most around data loss is when the phone tries to default to a marginal WiFi connection 1st for the data path even though I may have three or more 4G bars. In this situation, I may be getting barely one visible WiFi band, yet the phone tries to take this route. The problem for me has an interesting twist in that I live near a public WiFi hotspot that I can still use once my home WiFi is out of range. So depending upon how far I step out from my front door the phone grabs the public hotspot instead of staying connected to my much stronger home WiFi.

I had the same issue as all the local cable co's offer hotspot service in my area.
In the Wi-Fi settings.. 'Forget' whatever you don't connect to.. Turn off the 'Notify me' option. Then, clicked Advanced and unchecked 'Auto-connect' .. Then this ..
I found this comment to the article about the nagging WiFi popup on Slashgear. This does not require root or any apps. It accesses the hidden menu via the phone dialer. I did this and no more pop-up.

To those who wish to remove the wifi popup, NO NEED TO DOWNLOAD ANYCUT!
simply open the dialer and enter the following code:
*#6335623#

this will open "HiddenMenuWifiOffload" menu.
select "Disable WifiOffloading"
press OK
done! :)

Lately I've been losing data connection after my phone has been charging overnight. I'll restart the phone and I get the data back. Odd thing about it is I never had this issue before and I got this phone in July.
