Lost ability to change lock screen type

After I changed the default lock screen opener from simple swipe to a specific swipe pattern, I lost the ability to choose lock screen types. Now when I go to Settings->Lock screen I never see the Select Lock Screen choice. I can change options for the type of lock that I already have but I can't choose for instance a pin lock screen. I'm Exynos rooted but stock ROM. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I discovered weeks later that when I went ahead and entered my swipe pattern in the "Screen Lock" area, I got the ability to chose a new lock screen type. Yippee!
