Lost ability to use voice to send emails or text, help :)

Google Now finally works, sometimes too often. but the microphone doesn't display on emails or texts and I've searched through settings can't seem to "get it back."

Google Keyboard updated and removed the option to show the voice key on symbols keyboard. You need to go into Settings > Input > Google Keyboard and select it. This will however move the comma to the symbols keyboard.
