Lost default keyboard on vz s3

I must have hit a key combo that turned off my keyboard. All input is now by drawing the darn letter. I can get the number and special character keyboard to pop up but no text keyboard. How do I change it back. I have been to the language and input setting and Samsung settings and don't see anything to change there.

I Got my keyboard back. The default google search bar on the main home page had a setting to bring my keyboard back

I did the same thing I had to go to settings> input and uncheck the handwriting option

I am unable to log into my Samsung Galaxy S3.

For some reason I lost the text keyboard and only the # and special character keyboard are visible, needless to say I cannot log in since I use a combination of #'s and text in my personal password.

How can some help me return the phone to the original combination keyboard?
