Lost files after Cut & Paste

[Android Central Question]

Hi. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A. I Cut a folder from Internal Storage to Paste to the SD Card. ( Yes, I know I should have used Copy & Paste!)

The folder on the SD Card is now empty!!

Is it possible to recover the files, PLEASE. Many thanks.

Take the SD card to a pc and see if your data is there. Good luck

You may have to use chkdsk as well to look for any bad sectors: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...guide-using-chkdsk-fix-corrupted-sd-card.html

Unfortunately, when a MOVE command between multiple "drives" goes bad, both the source and destination files are usually lost forever.
This is why you should always do a COPY command and never a MOVE command.

Thanks for further advice. I realise now that Cut & Paste was a bad option!
