Hi all, I have a rooted, stock N7 with custom recovery (CWM). I recently received my OTA update to Kitkat. I then decided to go into custom recovery to perform a back up, problem is when I started my N7 to go to do this (power & volume down), I selected 'recovery' and all I got was the Android logo on his back with a red exclamation mark on his chest. After holding the power button in for a few seconds my N7 rebooted normally and the tablet seems to be fine, it just seems like I've lost root (I checked with a root checker) and recovery (be it stock or custom).

Can I connect my N7 to the PC and use fastboot to get custom recovery or does the red exclamation mark mean there's a bigger problem?

Thanks

just connect to PC and use fastboot to flash custom recovery. that red exclamation is nothing to worry about. any major update will wipe root and custom recovery

Thanks for the speedy reply still1. I'm thinking of giving TWRP a go will it be OK to put that on after previously using Clockworkmod?
