Lost the microphone feature on Samsung keyboard

Did you uninstall and reinstall the Google keyboard app yet?

Voice typing is not even there.. that is the problem.. i don't understand why is it gone at the first place.

Doesn't matter which keyboard I use, it doesn't have the microphone icon anymore..

Ok. When I press the mic icon in the picture you shown, it states Google Voice Search is not supported on your device. What can I do to get that back?

OK. I found the culprit! I disabled the "Google app", that's why it disabled the google voice!
Solved my own case! Thanks for all the help guys!!

Hi I found my microphone if you hold down the on the left hand side of the keyboard bottom row hold it down and it will show a new set of icons with the microphone on I've text this through the voice message voice texting and I'm on a Samsung S8 note

Check and see if you have disabled any Google apps. I had the same problem and it was caused by me disabling a Google app

What Samsung said to me about the microphone that I would have to wait for an update for them to clear this error up, when my Note 8 updated to Oreo it grayed out the mic on DeX PC it prevented any other keyboard but Samsung, on the mirror part of DeX it works fine, I really how many depend on me the mic because of my disability and I made that purchase for DeX based on that purpose...

I have been having this issue forever, and I use that microphone daily. Apparently when my phone updated it disabled Google and enabled chrome. I believe Google supports the microphone. After disabling chrome and enabling Google....its back. Didn't have to change anything else. Hope it helps u too

I had the same problem (missing mic button) on my Samsung S8 phone and I just figured out the solution! Apparently android updated the test messages to allow users to change the microphone button to another feature. In my case after the update , the microphone button was replaced with a clipboard button. I simply pressed the clipboard button for a few seconds (where the Mic used to be) and a little window popped up that let me select the Mic button. So try holding down whatever icon you have there for few secs to bring back your mic! See the screenshot below.

I had the same issue.No option to change in keyboard settings,google voice typing,etc.Installed Googles keyboard and while it shows a mic button ,pressing it results in "Google voice is not supported".Tried Googles assistant "Not supported" and Tried to rerecord my voice in Google settings "Not supported" All these functioned untill 2 weeks ago.Longer story shortened,I reset my app prefences,in turn Agreed to Permissions and recalibrated My "OkGoogle " +("HeyGoogle").Everything is back to as it was.Microphone icon is back and functions.I really hope this helps.

Hello I had the same problem with no microphone or Google Voice option to turn on microphone , then after reading this thread a guy said he went to the play store and searched for Google , only Google , downloaded the app installed it and all is well , so I tried it and it worked , (Google Voice option) is back and the microphone on my Keyboard , can,t find his name but thanks man for that
