Lost up and down load Wifi speed

My wife and I both have Samsung Grand Prime Sm-G530W running os 5.1.1
In the past two weeks both our wifi sped have been reduced to a third of the speed. Our ISP gives us 130mps,which works fine on laptops or computers and phones. But ours at best loads at 35 mps.
Would you know if an update was done to encourage us to buy a more recent phone? Or changed a specification which affected our up and down loads.
Otherwise, our phones work fine for our needs.

Have you installed an update recently? If not, there wasn't one. While it seems like the kind of underhanded thing Samsung might pull (kind of like Apple did with the battery thing last year), I doubt this is the case.

I actually recently replaced my router because I wasn't getting the WiFi speeds I should have been getting. While my issue was on ALL my WiFi devices, the point is that it's not out of the realm of possibility that the WiFi in your phone is just starting to go and is performing at a lower level than it was previously. My router was giving me speeds as much as 50% slower than it should have been.
