lotsa thunderbolt negativity.....

My only complaint is the bloatware, but that's no more than an annoyance. Best phone I've ever owned, bar none.

Aren't the only articles saying it's the worst phone ever from a bunch of apple fanbois anyway? I love my Macs but no way would I buy a phone from apple. That's just me and enough hating. I have had nothing but good things to say about this phone. I came from an HTC desire before this and a piece of Samsung g garbage before that. I bought this on the one year plan but so far I haven't seen anything that's got me thinking about jumping ship.

I often wonder too why some seem to have so many problems with this phone. Is it the phone? Is it how it's being used? I don't know. Barring a lemon out of the box, it should work. At least that's been my experience with all kinds of electronics over the years.

Anyway, for me, this phone has been good since day one back in April and has only gotten better since with the GB update and now that LTE went live last month. The ONLY issue I've really ever had were some random reboots with MR1 which were fixed with the MR2 update. Now, with GB and LTE the Thunderbolt is golden as far as I'm concerned. Battery life is excellent, get at least 24 hours on a standard battery and 2-3 days on extended with moderate use. I'm rockin LTE speeds and have Netflix, NFL Sunday Ticket, and free NFL Mobile at my finger tips, not to mention access to e-mail, music, and all my favorite full blown websites (even Flash ones), all with simultaneous voice/data and a killer kickstand! What's not to like? :p:p:cool:

So are you not experiencing an issue with custom contact MP3 ringtones ringing correctly? Even through all the issues with my Thunderbolt, the latest being after the GB OTA update my custom ringtones do not play correctly for the individual contact, I still love this phone...

I am happy with my TB and even happier that I finally got an OTA!
It may have taken too long but at least HTC is updating the phone, I feel like I got a new phone.

When the first update came out to nix the free wifi hotspot, I kept on denying the update so I could use the free hotspot...they finally caught me overnite and updated my phone! It was fun while it lasted.

I fully understand this is an internet forum where people come for help or advice on problems they are having with their device, but........
Not me, with regards to the occasion question that quickly has gotten answered by the wealth of knowledge here, I mainly lurk and read. My mind is spun by all the crazy problems a lot of you are having.
I just want to say I feel for your frustrations, but can't relate when it comes to this device.
I LOVE THIS PHONE!
No problems here except that vm annoying issue which is now resolved.
I am stock with stock battery and get 16 hours of moderate to heavy use every day.
It's faster on 3g than all of my friends and co-workers phones (iphones, misc. Motorolas, Samsungs, and ANYTHING ON ATT)
call me a fanboy, whatever.... But I came from an eris, the lagged craptastic steaming heap that took over a minute to do anything, including making a simple phonecall, and the battery only lasted 17 seconds, 18 if I was lucky.
So Howz about some TB love??
Anyone?
Plz tell me what your phone does right, what you like about it (besides the kickstand :)
All this negativity makes me want to curl into a ball and suck my thumb out of shame for loving such a POS

LOL...this is the kind of posts I need to see, PRAIZE of the Tbolt. I am so stoked to get this phone (Nov 26th) and I have you guys for giving me the courage to take the step. I'm on a very tight budget, and my wife and I are going with the Tbolt. but you better believe, I will be utilizing every trick I've learned to increase the stock battery life. and if I find i MUST buy the extended battery, so be it. but somehow, I don't think I will. 26 DAYS AND COUNTING!!!

Don't know as I don't use custom contact ringtones. I may very well have that problem, but since I don't use the feature, I don't consider it a problem. I prefer to look at the phone to see who is calling before I even make a decision to answer it. Most of the time regardless of whether I know who it is (ex. if they're in my contacts), I answer with a simple "Hello", so there is never the potential to embarass myself with an inappropriate response. :)

My TB has got so many bugs I need to wear a condom when I touch the screen :D

I love my Bolt too ! esp now, post Gingerbread update. Mine works great, lightening quick and HTC sense works for me. And I do love my kick stand ~

Battery life was an issue with this phone, so I got an extended battery. Now it lasts two days with skype online constantly with heavy usage of internet browsing and navigation.

I got this phone day 1. It's my first smartphone and I've yet to have a bad experience with it. It's powerful but not gaudy. It's attractive, can do everything I need it to and then some. I'm quite the power user logging almost 3 gb of data a month without streaming or using wifi. I now work at a Verizon authorized retailer and I gotta say I'm glad I didn't go with a motorola :p
