1. Digital copies I get with my BD/DVD discs. I hate the iPhone gets to use them but I don't. Come on!

2. Netflix streaming!

3. Regular Hulu, not hulu plus.

Will any of these thing ever happen?

I can't imagine netflix will be left out too much longer, and Hulu I have no guesses, I'm sure they will come out with thee latter.

The DC stuff. Bugs me. It angers me that they still are using this stupidly restrictive Licensing tactics for these files. I pretty much just give the disc and activation code to my friends because none of my devices can play them.

This is the Studio's fault for not giving us a version compatible with other devices not Google/Android.

DroidX has Blockbuster. I imagine netflix could eventually work, but Blockbustef it is right now.

Just convert digital copies of whatever.

I understand your argument about not being able to use your digitlal copies, but for now as a work around you can always burn your dvds to mp4 (about 40) minutes and watch them on your phone that way.

I know, but it seems silly they include these digital versions and I cannot use them. My poor PSP cannot even use them :(

what program do you use to rip DVD's?
i hae a 1TB portable hhd i need to fill with all my DVD's

hulu probably never. Hulu blocks viewing on mobile devices. It isnt a limitation of the devices (except for the fact they use flash, but that will be coming soon).

Their new Hulu+ has an iphone/ipad app now. I assume eventually they will get around to Android if anyone is really interested in paying them a monthly fee for the content they offer.

Netflix should work on an Android ap, but for now I watch them streaming on my iPad tethered to my Droid X :)

And yea the studio is driving the limited options with their digital content. Thats just about market share though. As Android gets more of it the DC will come to it as well.

not sure what rules are here but if your copying for yourself I don't think they apply. Download dvd43 and handbrake.

Install dvd43 and it will run in the bottom lower corner "yellow" insert a dvd it will turn green letting you know it has gotten past copyright info on dvd.

Now just open handbrake, select source (bottom option in dropdown), select your output folder, select iphone preset from the right then just hit start up top.

A black box will pop up with a percent counter, should take about 40 minutes, and the file is about 300-350mb mp4 file.

redbox has recently announced they are looking into digital streaming....that rocks especially if its still for a dollar

FWIW, the rep at the Verizon store where I purchased my X told me that Netflix streaming would be coming near the end of summer. Hope he's right....
