My wife still has a G4 and every time I plug it in I'm reminded of just how good the cable port is on the V20. Solid, no need to determine up/down. Great

(I should mention this is my first USB C device)

I feel the same way. Much more secure feeling

Compared to the V10 it's amazing. I had a hard time keeping the charger in on the V10. It was so loose.

Same here. Definitely next gen technology. Charges much faster and more efficiently. Battery holds a charge a lot better and phone doesn't get super hot when charging. Also, very easy to plug in and less likely to get damaged overtime.

The charging speed and efficiency is due to the charging protocols (quick charge 3.0), not so much the plug style. I'm personally still holding out judgement. It still plugs in well, but micro-USB cables were prone to breaking. Hopefully USB C will hold up better. The symmetrical design is nice, but I find I plug mine in the same way almost every time. Figuring out which way to turn the plug was never an issue for me.

This is my first USB-C device too. Love the new plug and how easy it goes in. Quick charge is amazing. Phone never gets hot while charging. Most important to me is how this phone holds a charge when I'm sleeping. I charge it to 100% before I fall asleep. When I wake up 7-8 hours later, its still 100% with all my apps still running. Previous phones (HTC, Samsung, IPhone) would lose 30% over night unless I shut off the data and then it would lose 20%.

I've never used a USB-C device until this one, what is supposed to be the difference? I hate not being able to use my old chargers for it

It's better in the dark

I hate and love when this happens, because once you get used to something new and better, it's almost impossible to lower your standards haha :D When ever I'm looking at a new smartphone now, if it doesn't have USB-C i won't get it. Its almost like buying a 1440p smartphone and then getting a 720p one later. Just cant lol

I mean the wire not the adapter.

He means the adapters that allow you to use regular USB plugs. You can find them on Amazon pretty cheap. I find Anker makes excellent ones. Anyway, look them up under USB to USB-C adapters. You can still use your same charger.

Hi,

Is the included charger QC 3.0?
I don't think it's QC 3.0, but it's at least QC 2.0. Charging speeds are about the same, with the main difference in QC 3.0 being in efficiency so there's less heat and wasted electricity.

Ok now I understand, you made it a lot clearer. It's fine though, I don't need to get an adapter, I gave my old chargers to someone already.

I too like the new USB C connection.... But, I have bought a dozen USB C adapters because I have dozens of older devices that use the early connectors, phones, flashlights, tablets and battery backup devices.
It's a pain when technology improves sometimes.
