Low on space

lately ive been getting error messages saying im low on memory sace. im down to 30.00mb. altho this morning i was nearly at 80mb and i didnt do anything different. this phone is crazy. and when it happens i cant receive texts, they get rejected.

what do i need to do to free up space?

i deleted a ton of apps and im only up to 43 mc of avaiilable space. something is clogging up my memory.

You probably should start deleting old text threads. Maybe lower the maximum thread to 100 instead of the default 200 messages. Also, if you use gmail, start archiving older messages. Clear out your web cache too.

i use handcent, and i delete mostly all my threads ona daily basis, if not, most of them ar no more than 5 messages or so in each thread anway. the gmail thing i have to look into. i dont use gmail as my primary messenger, so it cant be getting backed up. and im looking inot the web thing now. also, i dont use the stock browser, i use dolphin.

when i go to try and clear the cache in both browsers the cache button is greyed out and says 0.

go to manage applications, and go through your apps and see if there are any that have built up a large cache. I know my browser can get pretty high sometimes.
