lower back speaker

Okay so the speaker crackles alot. And its the speaker in the lower back part of the phone. It works great with headphones its just the outside speaker. It almost sounds like it has water in it or something. soes anyone have this problem besides me?? Help please.

Everyone? Really? I'm planning to upgrade to the S4 later this month, and that may be a deal breaker for me...or maybe not...as long as it plays ringtones/notifications louder than my gnex.

I haven't had that problem over the last two days and I've been playing a lot, and I mean A LOT, of media with sound.

Haven't had that problem. I also got an Element Atom case that ports the sound to the front of the S4. Works great. Very high quality case.

I don't think so, I never had this problem. It could be a defective piece of hardware on the OP's phone.

I don't have that issue but I do wish the speakers were on the front or top or bottom of the phone. I really hate when the phone is on its back and sometimes I don't hear a text message or a call coming it because the speaker is covered by the surface. Sometimes I miss from my iPhone and the htc one which I owned for a short time for this very reason.
