Which is better for the Buck. I use LP right now and have been looking at ADW and can't decided what to do.

Both launchers are quality apps, I have purchase bot but right now I am using ADW EX and enjoying it but I miss Launcher Pro + widgets. Now if I was forced to decide on one at this time I would go with ADW Launcher EX.

The widgets in LPP are phenomenal. I LPP more, but I haven't tried EX. I would rather wait for fedes re built LLP. Both wont disapoint, but adw free version never ran as good as lp for me and my many roms.

Its personal preference. I like LauncherPro and it gets the job done for me.

I have to agree the free one version of ADW did not have the performance that LLP+ had but it was totally rebuilt for the latest build of EX and it has been greatly improved. The performance is comparable to LLP+.

I love LP+, but ever since I started using custom ROMs it hasn't worked as well. I really miss the LP+ widgets.

Ever since ADW EX came out the free version of ADW has been really good. I'm currently running ADW and haven't had any issues and the customization is on par with LP+.

Rocks

This has got to be one of the best sites to get a wealth of information from a lot of brilliant people. Thank you all!!;)

So i downloaded ADW EX. is there any way to make there be 7 home pages or can you only have 5?

I still think performance wise launcher pro plus is better. But as many said it all comes down to personal preference. Heck, try them both and see which 1 you like...

This is tough. I was an LPP guy to the bone, but then I tried ADW on a whim, as is came pre-installed with the GummyJAR ROM and I ended up loving it (I was on RubiX and getting a lot of FCs in LPP for some reason). I recently installed Liberty ROM and tried ADW EX. It ran great for about a week, but I get probably 8-10 FCs of EX a day. It boots right back up, but I'm probably going to jump back to LPP here.

I prefer lp myself...the developer supports and maintains the app very well. Also, can't live without the widgets.

First post on the forum on my freshly rooted and overclocked DX!

I agree with everyone else. I personally use LPP but its just what I like and it works very smooth. Looking forward to the new re-written release from Fede as he never fails to disappoint.

Holy crap, I was gonna post almost exactly that (jumped from ApeX, but otherwise) Definitely excited to see the big LPP update.

ADW is included in CM ROM and I have enjoyed using it. I have only dabbled with LP. I do not have extensive experience with either of the paid versions. :D

I myself like adw ex. I like having themes. And its a lot easier to change icons. I also think you have more options like changing the size of your icons, deferent style for the app draw. But missing the ability to have a deferent dock and no widgets. Llp just updated with some screen transition just like adw ex had. They are both worth having.

What about themes for EX? I DL Nexus S Gingerbread and im not too sure about all the green. Any suggestions?

Few bucks isn't anything to me, so I may run EX.....it does look sweet, and it is a fav of many developers....thanks for the tip. Having 2 premium UIs on tap can't hurt:)
