LP+ vs ADW EX

I purchased both LPP and ADW Ex, and I prefer ADW Ex. I don't even have LPP installed right now.

I was using LPP but the latest VZN update is causing reboots several times a day with LPP. I ended up buying ADW EX and it is nice. I did miss the LPP widgets but then I came across Colorize Widgets which is basically all the LPP widgets with the ability to customize the color scheme, and it's free.

I too experience multiple daily reboots with LPP and have since uninstalled it. No reboots yet.

So far so good for me with the LPP update. Just reinstalled this morning and it's really snappy with nice, clean transitions.

This is so crazy, I never thought I could get so use to a launcher so fast, today I downloaded LPP+ update and set it up with one of my saved themes to test it out and not even half way through day I really miss my ADW EX so I had to go back. Even the menus seemed strange on LPP to me.... They both ran smooth and with the new transistion added to LLP I figured it would feel the same but I was sooooo wrong.



Looks like ADW has won me over... FOR NOW, who knows what LLP may do next.

Adw ex just got a new update. You now can change the dock just like lpp. There are about 8 docks that you can choose from not that great but they are ok. You can also shoose from your gallery so if you have some that you have used with lpp they will work. You can now have a clear background when using the app drawer in the 4d mode which you could not do before. This is why adw ex is better. Now the only thing that I hope is next is some widgets. That's the only thing that lpp had over adw ex.

Darkslide, It has been one of the smoother ones I have tried out but I have been ripping options from other roms and combining them onto this rom.

I run then both, going back and fourth! Lpp is my current!

I have decided to try them both also at the same time and I am starting to get torn, they both have nice possibilities and they each have their own unique features to catch a users interest... I really like ADW but I can be honest that LLP+ appears to run smoother, this is starting to be a hard decision. :-\

Plus, for me, LPP was a bit slower and the cube transitions are not smooth. So, I'm back with ADW Ex now and I doubt I'll go back to LPP now that ADW Ex has custom docks.

OK... So that isn't just me, but I only seen it once but I thought that since I have been running so many apps on my unit I was thinking it might been a app that was installed but if you having the same issue it may be the update. The weird part is the cube was one of the smooth animations on my device.

Since I have a backup the way it is I may wipe and install it by itself and see if it still FC..

One more thing to consider, you reported you are using Apex and I had to stop using it because of a lagging issue I notice, have you tried DarkSlide from http://www.mydroidworld.com/forums/droid-x-roms/6155-rom-darkslide-v4-2-a.html? I haven't notice the lag issue with it but it could be a compatibility thing with a app I have installed.

I have tried the free ones, and that is a pass (we all know the paid versions are loaded, lol) I feel you, and they both have there points. I would like to morph them into a full launcher!

Both launchers are quality apps, I have purchase bot but right now I am using ADW EX and enjoying it but I miss Launcher Pro + widgets. Now if I was forced to decide on one at this time I would go with ADW Launcher EX.

One thing that I just found out that adw ex does is the hiden dock that you see when you flick up is that you can change that dock too. You need to find a more solid dock to use because all the apps you put down there start in the middle and work there way outward. You can still use any dock that you want to its just that some might not look great.
