LTE connected but no internet?

I've been having an issue with the LTE here in San Antonio. When it first rolled out on the 13th of July it worked pretty good, the fastest I got it on the SpeedTest app was 31mbps in one location. About 2 weeks later is when everything went to crap. At work, home and elsewhere my phone picks up the 4G, enough to be at 4-5 bars but when I try using the internet or anything else that relies on data it doesn't seem to work. It will basically kick me back to to 3G as soon as I try connecting or the 4G will just stay on idle even though it shows I'm receiving a good signal. What frustrates the hell out of me is when I need to search something in a hurry but cannot do it with the 3G because the phone is still picking up the 4G.There is places though where the 4G works great so it does pick it up eventually depending on here I'm at. I've tried switching from lte/ to cdma and back but no luck. I've even done a soft rest with ##72786# and still nothing. The Sprint reps on the phone dont seem to be much help as well only to tell me that I should be blanketed with LTE coverage. So basically, I'm stuck with a phone that picks up LTE but wont connect to anything. One thing I did notice was that this started happening after the LG8 update but I'm not positive if thats whats causing the connectivity issue. Before I take my phone into the Repair center I just want to know if anyone else is having this issue or maybe can help me try something else to figure out why my LTE isn't functioning correctly.

I had something similar happen to me the other day.
usually when i can connect to LTE its good. But starting Saturday i noticed that i will have strong LTE, then no data sign, then 3G will turn on, then a few minutes later back to nothing, then 4G is back on.
It is acting like its connecting but not passing data then looses it goes back to 3G then back to 4G..

I think it has to do more with the LTE towers than the phones. Seems like LTE is in beta mode, and we are the testers.

Here in Houston, I was seeing the same behavior the last two weeks until last Friday. Since Friday, I have been able to maintain LTE with about 8-15 Mbps down and about 1.5-5 up. So it could be that they are working on the towers in that area which what was happening here.

no sign of LTE in california. atleast not around me. dont know why they sell us LTE phones when they dont even have the service available.

I hope its still in some type of testing because it sucks being in a LTE area with a LTE phone but no LTE service when I need it most. Perfect.
