Pretty excited for my wife. She has the GS3. I still have the first Epic. Looks like these speeds are for real...not spotty ones like with WiMax. Prior to the LTE...didn't feel compelled to upgrade. Now...don't know. Speed is pretty darn important and could win me over to finally getting the GS3. Here is the difference from yesterday to today.

Oh and BTW before I continue...in case you are wondering where the LTE switch is at like previous 4G models had in their notification bar.....well there's not. There is no quick button toggle. To change your phone to the faster LTE signal...you have to go into your settings and ultimately a reboot of your phone.

The steps are: menu/settings/Wireless and Network/More settings/scroll down/mobile network/network mode/choose LTE-CDMA/Okay/reboot

Anyhow...here is the difference between yesterday and today. :D

Been doing several tests...looks good...real good. Does YouTube in 1080p via browser like a piece of cake! Very impressed!

Ummm. That's WiFi brother.

Sent from my HTC EVO 4G LTE on a non-LTE network!

Wow! Total faceplam move! Lmao! Talk about embarrassing! Oh well. Won't try to play it off. I'll own up p to it and leave it be.

In that case...argg! 4g icon came up but now it's gone away and only the 3g is showing.

Takes a real man to admit his mistake however funny.... lol

Sent from my GS3 which you can't have no matter how nice you ask

Haha, that was a great morning laugh. I was totally impressed and almost wanting to move to Houston! (wish I had those wifi speeds)

I don't get anywhere near that speed on wifi... I am beginning to think that there is something wrong with my wireless router. It is not that old though and supports wireless - n... Could it be something in the settings?

What bandwidth plan do you have with your internet provider?

He may have accidentally posted Wi-Fi numbers but these are the actual LTE speeds we're getting in San Antonio. Not bad! :)

I am getting 10-12megs on my laptop. I don't know why my phone would be so much slower on the same network... :banghead:

Yeah, all of our mobile devices (wife's iPhone 4s,my GS3 and our HTC Flyer) are only getting around a meg down. I am going to get a new one and see what happens! Hoping that it helps

You know what's ridiculous, driving to San Antonio today I was able to connect to 4g for the first time in Seguin, freaking Seguin which is like 45 minutes from San Antonio. I can connect to 4g passing through Seguin on the way to San Antonio but not at my house in a suburb of one of the largest cities in the country.

This is what I got in NW Houston (290 & 529) on Saturday afternoon! Was crazy excited!!! Haven't been able to get 4G since then....now I'm pissed! Called Sprint and they told me it may be intermittent because they just switched it on....intermittent means I should at least see it here and there!
