LTE logo?

Hi all,

Recent convert to Android here and loving every minute of it especially since I installed Cyanogenmod on it. I do have a question though. Does the LTE logo on the HTC One show up as 4G? I have seen it switch between H+, 3G and 4G but never saw the LTE logo. Now I did a speedtest with a friend of mine in the same locaiton with his iPhone 5 which shows LTE and the speeds between the One and iPhone 5 were around the same. I am not sure if this is an Android thing or what. Anyone else going through this or is this normal?

I bought my HTC One from AT&T.com and I never saw the LTE logo either. It turned out that I wasn't getting LTE at all. I had to take it in to a AT&T store and they put in a different SIM card, which solved the problem. I don't know if this is what your issue is, since your speed test was good. Regular 4G for me is about 3,000 kbps, while LTE can be 10 times that. It seems to me that you should be seeing the logo if you're getting LTE.

Perhaps it is because of CM that it is not showing the logo. Mine has a symbol that shows both 4G and LTE.

I'm on att but got my HTC one from Costco. I get 54mb down 20 up all the time.

I am not sure if it is a CM issue or not .... I may just stop at an AT&T store tomorrow and ask for a new SIM and ask them to make sure it is a LTE sim. When I was running speed tests, I was getting anywhere from 10mbps to 15 mpbs down .... Thanks guys.

If you're seeing H+, that is for HSPA+ and the 4G symbol is for lte. So you are getting lte.

Those speeds would also suggest you're on lte as well. I have not seen my hspa+ speeds go that high even with full bars.

When I am on lte I get the 4G logo with a little LTE logo right next to it. When I'm on 4G I only get the 4G logo.

I also get the lte logo. When it's on 4g it's not lte

Disregarding my previous comments, I do remember seeing on other forums that people were saying cyangenmod has not had lte enable yet...

Your logos may be different than his, if you are on the stock ROM, since he is running cyanogenmod.

When in an area with 4g, 4g shows on screen. When in an area with lte it shows 4g LTE, looks like this:

That's the AT&T LTE logo. The International will simply say 4G. CM uses the icons from the international to the best of my knowledge. If you're seeing H and H+ they're definitely the international icons.
