LTE upgrade path?

Is a phone like the Inspire capable of a software upgrade to make it LTE capable? Forgive me if this is a silly question, but I am still new to this generation of phones and trying to decide between the Innspire or waiting for an LTE phone on AT&T later this year.

Its not an LTE phone. They didn't add the LTE chip in the phone, so basically we are just going to get 3G+ speeds, or HSPA+ speeds, not LTE similar to Verizon.

Hopefully AT&T won't neglect their HSPA network once they start going live on LTE.

I think ATT are getting ahead of themselves not the first time they done this. They need to make sure the HSPA+ is fully available all over the country before worrying about the LTE network.
