Lync 2013 Android App causing People (Contacts) app to crash

I have a Droid Maxx. Android Ver 4.4. Verizon system build 19.5.3

I had the Lync 2010 app, when I upgrade to the Lync 2013, my People (Contacts) app started crashing with this error "Unfortunately, the Contacts App has stopped". I had to go back to Lync 2010.

Any thoughts?
