M7 Email woes

I am having sync issues with my HTC One stock email app. It has always worked flawlessly and past two days---not so much. It's not Syncing or something. Only when I actually open up the app will it Sync. I have cleared the cache, cleared defaultsz reentered mail accounts, checked Sync settings and they are set to check every 15 minutes during peak hours which I have set to Everyday 5am-10pm. One account (exchange) I have set to push mail and yet I still don't get the notification unless I actually open the mail app

I'm on latest Android OS as well
