M8 messages question

When I send a sms in the stock app it shows it in the list as bold(like new/unread). Do I have a setting off or something? It's really annoying....I keep thinking I have an unread message from that person.

Sometimes mine does that and I'm using Hangouts as my default SMS app. I think for me its to do with lack of signal when trying to send a message. Maybe that's the case for you too.

Thanks but mine does it for every message, regardless of connection.
