M8 not keeping LTE

Got my new M8 yesterday. Data didn't intialize when I got it so today I went to my local store and they gave me a new SIM card. I had LTE for a little while but now I'm back home and I have only 4G.

I know we have LTE because my husbands iPhone shows it.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated..starting to wonder if I have a dud.

4G and LTE are the same thing aren't they? My icon says 4G with LTE on the right side of it.

On AT&T when you have LTE it says 4G LTE and when your on hspa it Just says 4G. Remember the carriers (AT&T and T-Mobile) were calling hspa 4G while they were deploying LTE.

Ahhh, I'm with Verizon and didn't even think about the fact that you might be on another carrier.

You can try going into Settings->Mobile Data->Preferred Network. See if that changes anything.

Don't have that option on AT&T. Why oh why do these carriers have to f*ck with the software so much? It's beyond me I guess....

Haha guess I won't be much help then since the Verizon model is clearly different.
