M8 One Standard Charger Slow Charging

I've had my M8 for about a month, upgraded due to frustrating battery on a samsung.

Was super happy to be going to be with 50% battery left some days, and really enjoying the fact I could charge to 100% whenever I needed within a short pace of time.

Suddenly, about a week ago (maybe with the new update, though not sure) my M8 tells me it is slow charging when I use the charger that came with the phone (haven't changed anything). Tells me to use a HTC charger, or make sure its securely connected. I've done both of those things, but here I am, 3 hours plugged in, and only up to 36%.

Ready to scream, back to where I was with the Samsung in just a month.

Help?

Welcome to the forums. I would try rebooting into recovery and clearing the cache. Here is How: http://forums.androidcentral.com/ht...ow-reboot-into-stock-recovery-htc-one-m8.html

Make sure you turn off fastboot first.

I don't this will help. I've had the same thing for months, HTC wall plug & cord, but the phone tells me it will not charge very fast, use the HTC equipment. And I've cleated the cache a couple of times for other things. I think they just have us lousy equipment for the charger.

Try replacing the USB cable. They are prone to going bad, resulting in slower and slower charge times, and could get to the point that you'll loose charge while plugged in. The wires break internally, even without being abused, and it's not something that can be readily seen.
