Bout to make a purchase today. I know I might get some biased answers based on the forum but I really can't decide. Please help!

Battery and Sound vs Stock (ish) Android and Pixels.

The M8 is the best sounding (headphone) phone at the moment (including iPhone) apparently,

Tough call..

M8 - better sound, better display, better battery, better camera, IR blaster, Sense

MX - faster updates, IR sensors, lower price, stock Android.

I really boils down to what you deem important.

Whilst the M8 has more going for it than the MX, the difference is very small.

For instance, the speaker on the MX is great - its not stereo but better than any other smartphone on the market today.

Not a decision I'd want to make. But if your chasing the next new thing the X might soothe the craving. I do love my M8 and won't give it up for anything at this point other than an M9.

Don't get the one if you live in a fringe signal area. Constantly fluctuating signal even in strong signal areas.

I'm sorry you're having problems. But I think you're an outlier, my own signal experience on the M8 is highly favorable, strongest radio by far I've ever had in a phone, and most others I've seen say the same.

It's very erratic, sitting in my home in the same room it fluctuates between 91 and 115 dbs. Even in town it constantly fluctuates.
