Finally have all 5inches of screen space. Not big into rooting, but Android revolution is just like stock. Used the GMD app to hide the Nav buttons. This phone is perfect now!

I love that. I'm S-offed and have been waiting for a reason to flash again.

This is the only reason I'm considering rooting. I've already downloaded ARHD, it's just sitting on my sd card being me to root and flash it.

How does that app work without nova? I don't like 3rd party launchers so I plan to use Sense.

rooted and using talk this app works great. the only thing bothering me about the M8 was that bar and now it is gone except when I want it to be there. Thanks for the heads up.

Is it just me or can you only pull up the soft keys in landscape in camera mode?

I rooted with Weaksauce, installed Super SU and GMB and it works well except in camera mode. In camera mode the quickbar disappears and there's no way to exit out of camera mode except to restart the phone.

Try holding it in landscape exactly how you would to take a picture and then try to pull up the soft keys.. it works for me.

Hey thanks, that did work. I guess I'll keep GMB

Good, hopefully they will update it to work in portrait mode for this phone. I even did a review for GMB to bring up this problem, and I rarely review apps.

GMB works fine with Sense.

There's also another alternative to GMD called Ultimate Dynamic NavBar that I find works better for me than GMD's solution.

Ended up uninstalling GMD because it started being unresponsive and it was cumbersome because to use it required more touches of the screen.
