Having issues backing up Google Photos and would like to try uninstalling and then reinstalling.
When I go to hold the app down to drag to "uninstall" at the top, the are is grayed out making it not possible to do.

Thoughts?

Hi there!

Is it the same greyed out, if your downloaded apps in play store, find google photo's, is uninstall available there? You can also check in device administrator area to make sure its not protected by Device Administrator.

Hi-in the play store, the app just says Update and Open. There is no option to uninstall.
I went into Device Admin.

What am I looking for here to allow me to uninstall?

If you had further questions, it doesn't show in your quote of my post.

Ha!

If you'll notice I accidentally put my questions inside the quotes of your post. My apologies...

You can disable it, which will hide it from other lists and/or availabilities, then you can install whichever photo application you may prefer.

If you disable the Photos app, any updates to the app are removed and it reverts back to the version that the phone had on launch. If you then enable it back, you can then go and let it update itself again (or do it yourself via the Play Store).
