Macross/Robotech app?

I am a longggg time Macross/Robotech fan (protoculture addict). Are there any devs out there who are also and would like to create any relevant apps (live wallpaper, game, etc)? Just curious. I always thought there would be some thirtysomethings on board looking to relive the '80s. I am just a lowly end-user.

I used to LOVE Robotech! I will try and make a decent live wallpaper... wow, this thread just brought back so many memories lol.

It is 30 years later... I mean, I'm a Macross and MOSPEADA fan and I do like their Robotech counterparts but I don't see much point in an app just for the sake of having an app. If there was a very good reason for it I'd be behind it.

Man, it sucks to read that and agree with it. I'm going to be 40 in a few days and I remember watching Robotech as a young kid. It was the only thing that could get me out of bed, before grade-school. I even have a lot of the "lost" episodes on VHS, before I got lazy and bought the laserdiscs and then the full DVD collection.

Well, now I'm a professional software developer, and (as with all old people) I'm suddenly lacking imagination. So, I reverted to my best sci-fi fantasy memories -- back to Robotech. Robotech was to alien sci-fi, what "Neuromancer" was to "Johnny Mnemonic" and "The Matrix".

I mean, look at the simplistic garbage that today's kids enjoy: "Angry Birds"? Really? Humanity is regressing... I played more intellectual games on my Commodore 64 and Atari 2600 systems, probably before the developers of "Angry Birds" were even born.

So, throw me some ideas / partnership proposals for anything related to the original Robotech story and maybe we can get something going.
