I wasn't able to properly root my Nexus 4 while using this guide. I wound up idiotically formatting the wrong part of my phone, so now my phone lacks an OS.

Is there any way I can access my phone via USB? I'd like to install a stock ROM and start over clean!

You can still recover it by flashing factory images onto the phone.
Get those from here: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images

Sent from my Galaxy S4 running SlimKat 4.4.2

Can't even mount from recovery to access my phone via USB. Had to go here:

Nexus Root Toolkit v1.8.0 | WugFresh

Hoping it works. Downloading the factory image via the toolkit.

After downloading the factory image follow this guide: http://forums.androidcentral.com/showthread.php?t=223923

Sent from my Nexus 5 using AC Forums mobile app

Guide definitely looks legit, but I'm a bit unnerved by the OP there not giving specific directories to follow.

Wug's toolkit will work if you had USB debugging on or can get into fastboot
The OP in the guide is a former ambassador here. Definitely legit :)

Thanks for the guide. The toolkit I linked fixed everything, got me rooted, and has allowed me to flash slimkat.
