I have a Magnector X from amazon that I've been using for months and love how it works, but this morning when I disconnected it the part in the phone that it connects to pulled out. Underneath it was some rubber sealant that got messed up and the part won't go back in so even if I could put it back together its probably not waterproof anymore, but I could not get the charging part back in phone even after taking out the sealant and in the process it broke in half. good news is the normal charging method still works, so I'll have to open the flap to charge from now on and keep it away from water. Think sony will repair if I send it back? Lesson learned for the rest of you is when removing Magnector twist it off at angle. DO NOT PULL IT STRAIGHT OUT or it could pull out the part it is attached to.

Wow, sorry to hear that. I have been using a magnector brand for awhile now with no problems. I would think Sony would fix it under warranty no problem. It shouldn't do that.

The same happened to me, also with the Magnetor X. Contacted xperia support and got it fixed under warranty. Told them that it happened during normal use of the magnetic charging port. They will send it to a contractor to fix it though.

Sony just replaced my Z3C that the connector pulled out of

personally I think that it happened because of the interference between the case I was using and the connector
