Magnetic holsters and Incredible

This may be a stupid question, but does anyone know whether a holster with a magnetic clip (this used to put the Blackberry to sleep) in it will have any deleterious effects on the Incredible?

I've been using a holster with a magnetic clip for about 3 weeks and haven't seen any adverse effect.

I was actually told that a magnetic clip can have adverse effects, in that it has the opposite effect of putting the phone asleep like BB. From what I've been told, there is a magnet in the car mount that's used for the GPS directions. The magnet actually wakes the phone up and and keeps the screen on. Can be a killer on battery life. That said, if you just have a holster with a magnetic closure that's not very strong, it may not wake up the screen. Just something to bear in mind.

An easy way to check is to just put the phone in the holster and see if the screen lights up if it doesn't you should be good.

If you asking if it will erase memory, the answer is no. The magnet is just no strong enough.

The magnet deal is only on the Droid. The Incredible is not set up to respond one way or another to a magnet. HTC is not set up like Motorola.

Does anyone think they will be able to docks like the droid to have magnetic charging. I know that it doesn't have the magnetic spots on the back like the droid but I have to feel they could do something. When it the car it would be nice to just dock my phone and have it charge without plugging it in. That is something I have always wondered
