Magnetic mount behavior

When I place my phone on the magnetic mount in my car it always does something. If Waze is open, it jumps to the destination search screen, if Inbox is open it jumps to a different email. It's getting really irritating and I can't figure it out. Thanks!

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Some phones have a Car Mode or Dock Mode, which detects if it's in a magnetic mount, and triggers functions that may be useful while driving.
