hi there ---

does anyone know if it's possible to change the notification sound in the new 'Mail' app on the One S in Sense 4.0 ??

I know for the texting app and everything else you can choose a custom tone and then there is the over-all notification sound that is used system wide. It seems like 'Mail' is the only app that lets you choose to use a notification sound, but then doesn't give you the option to pick one and uses the system wide notification sound to a default.

Does anyone know what to do??

thanks for your input!!

no one?? :(

i love using my old school AOL "you've got mail" sound alert on my phones but it seems i can only achieve this with the GMAIL app--- which i don't hate but the sense 4.0 'mail' app is just more my speed and i would much rather use that

Try Personalize, Sound, Notification Sounds, Email

Thank you so much!

although i wonder why they didn't just make it as obvious as picking the SMS tone from within the app itself??

ugh! you've made me so happy!! cheers!

Is there a way to disable sound for notifications? I've looked every where and cannot do that unless I just go silent. I only want my phone ringer to be the only sound. I'm coming from stock ics, I'm not liking this sense. thanks

Settings the notification sound to silent as the ring tone

Or turn notifications volume down.. or use a program like Llama to change the volume levels....

My bad, in Sense 3.6 (or ICS) they've combined them permanently. :(
