main cameri how do ad selfie to the shot

I had note 8 I was able to take pictures with the main camera and have selfie shot window come in small box-like you are recording I can't find it on note20 ultra any ideas for photes

I've got my Note 8 and Note 20U in my hands and can't find a way to do what the OP describes in either camera app. I know it was a feature many years ago with the Note 3 capable of doing it. I thought it was removed when the camera app had a complete overhaul for the S6/N5 generation.

I remember it was available on older Samsung also but haven't seen it in quite some time

I had a note 8 and that feature was removed when Android pie came out.

I think there is a camera mode similar to what the OP is describing on the S22 Ultra called 'director's view' maybe this feature may come to the Note series at some point.

I have that on my Note 20 but it's 2 video feeds and no photo capability.

The Note 8 had a nice set of special camera settings that Samsung took away like Sports Mode. With the upgrade to one of the recent OS updates the Note 20 series received the dual recording feature that allowed you to film while using the selfie and rear cameras at the same time.
