maintenance update and contacts

hey guys i just recieved the update this morning and now most of my contacts are gone and the dont have the pictures attached t the ones i have left. is there any way to recover them?

Verizon's Backup Assistance should have all your contacts. Thats if you were using Backup Assistance prior to the update.

how do you have the back up assistant replace them i you that and tried hitting sync but they never came back.

I would goto verizon website and resync from there, they will get pushed down to your phone

ok thanks i just did that and it worked except my contacts pictures are no longer attached. shouldnt they have been backed up as well?

do a Gmail contact re-sync. Gmail saves the pictures

One copy is from Backup Assistant, the other is from Google. They should automatically link- weird that they're not.. You can manually link them together, but it would probably be easier to just delete all contacts, then do a Google re-sync, then do a Backup Assistant re-sync.

The easiest way to correct duplicate contact entries is....

People -> Menu -> View -> Google (or whatever you want to use)
