Major Battery Drain w/Google Play Music

I've noticed the last few times of using the Google music app that it is draining my battery FAR more than it ever used to. I never stream it, as I always use the music downloaded on to my phone, and it's mostly used while connected via Bluetooth to a speaker.

Has anyone else noticed an increased drain? I'm mean it's losing 8-10% an hour, when it used to be about half of that.

Display on or off?

If display on, have you changed your brightness level? Even small changes there can have a big impact on battery life.

I have cleared cache, but haven't rebooted in a week or so. I'll try that. Thanks.

Display is always off while you using app.

I think I may have found my issue. After digging into the app settings, location history was enabled for that app, which I don't need on. Must have been turned on during an update because I always leave that stuff off on most apps.

I will find out this weekend when I use it again.
