Major Google Voice Fail or Am I Missing Something?

So I use my Google Voice number for anything that isn't a family or friend. When I want to make a call to someone not a family or friend, on my iPhone 4 the Google Voice app has a dialer built into the app. I open my GV app and dial and it places a call using my GV number.

I just installed GV on my Nexus and cannot find a dialer. Apparently the only way to make calls is to either change the setting to prompt for each call when you dial using the stock dialer or put the setting as use GV for all calls? Please tell me this isn't so. If that's the case and there is no dialer in the GV app for Google's own OS then that is a huge fail.
