Do you really have to write the number down, open up a blank contact and type the number in? Isn't there a way to just make a contact out of a recent call? Also why can't you use a contact to make an appointment where the address and the name
gets put in automatically and you don't have to type it in?

It would differ between devices but usually you might be able to tap on the number, or long press to get to the call details for that phone call and you should have an add contact button hiding somewhere.

You could also just copy and paste the number into a new contact.

Try going to your recent calls, tap the number, then select the the 'add to contacts'.

It should give you the options to:
'create new contact'
'update existing contact'

With the Google phone app you can add a recent caller via the menu option.

Thanks I didn't see the little green line where it said update. I think what I probably tried to do is update a new number on an account that I already had and then you don't get that add an account green line. But when it's a number that doesn't exist you do.
