Make Google Assistant talk back

How can I make Google Assistant talking back when I say "Hey Google"? Currently, I see "How can I help you", but it is silent.

GO to Assistant settings and search for response. that should bring up the right setting.

Open the Google app >tap your profile picture upper right corner>setting tap>Google assistant tap

It looks like it is set-up try clearing cache then force stop the Google app

By Google app you mean Google? Where do I clear its cache?

I found how to clear cache. I also stopped the app. Nothing changed.

Ok in the upper right corner tap 3 dots and choose uninstall update where u were in the menu for clear cache

OK, sorry I couldn't be more clear earlier, I was a bit busy lol.

In assistant settings, go to Assistant voice and speech output, then scroll to the bottom and change speech output for your phone to "full". that should do it.
