Make Google Assistant talk back

<In assistant settings, go to Assistant voice and speech output, then scroll to the bottom and change speech output for your phone to "full". that should do it.
Thats what I did. Interesting, that when I say Hey.... it does not say how can I help, but when I say cancel, it actually says I dont understand or something...

It's not supposed to say anything when you say "Hey, Google", just say that and then ask your question or give your instruction without pausing.

If you want an audible chime to tell you it's actively listening, that's in Google Assistants accessibility settings.
