Make my DX2 scream!

Hey everyone! I just rooted my dx2 running stock gb 2.3.4 and stock rom. What im wanting to do is make this thing crazy fast and freeze the bloatware. The apps i have that are root necessary are anttek app manager, es file explorer, rom manager, titanium backup and of course the super user icon. Just to be clear im new to root and i dont really know how to use these apps. Any help and direction would be greatly appreciated. Oh and app suggestions would be great too

If you wanted all the bloatware gone, I would suggest installing a custom ROM on the phone. Most roms remove most if not all bloatware and run faster than stock Android. I am using the Eclipse ROM. Its probably the best ROM for the Droid X2 right now.

I want to install a custom rom but I dont think I understand the process of how to do it and then get back to stock if I needed to well enough to try it yet...but I will, soon, and it'll be on like donkey Kong then!

Its not as difficult as it seems. Ive only been using Android for about 3 months and I've been flashing like crazy. lol. I can start you off with a few links. Some things you will need to install a custom ROM:

And any ROM you would like to try. Just make sure it is made for the Droid X2. I suggest Eclipse.

Thats pretty much all you need to install a ROM since you are already rooted.

If anything goes wrong, You just need some files for your PC. You will need the Motorola Drivers for your computer, a program called RSD Lite, and an SBF file that is specific to the version of Android you are on. You can follow these instructions here:

For the SBF file, search google for your specific version. Wether it be 2.3.3 or 2.3.4. I think the one in that link is for 2.2.2.

Using RSD Lite will set your phone back to pretty much how you bought it and should fix any problem you have.

Thanks I got eclipse v1.3 flashed and also the carbon eclipse boot animation. It wasn't as difficult as I thought it was going to be.
