Make the Home Button take me to the Home Screen again?

When I got my S7 one week ago, the home button took me to the home screen. Simple. Elegant. What I wanted.

Today, the home button started to open TouchWiz. I don't know what TouchWiz is. I don't think I want to know; it sounds nasty and bathroom related. I just want my home button to go back to taking me to the home screen. Admitted: I played with the phone a lot today, opening things to see what they do and looking for stupid stuff I could turn off to stop the mind-boggling battery drain ---- but how do I get rid of TouchWiz and get my home button to go back to just taking me to my home screen? I have been tearing my hair out for about 6 hours now.

nothing to be afraid of touchwiz is just the name of the launcher (skin) that samsung has put on top of stock android. just tap on "touchwiz" as your main launcher and it should go back to normal. somehow you activated an option for you to choose what launcher you want to use, for example some people may install 3rd party launchers like "nova launcher" from the play store and then you will see nova launcher in addition to the touchwiz launcher in the option you're seeing. I'm not sure what options you're seeing right now whenever you tap the home button but if it's asking whether you want to make touch wiz your default launcher then just hit ok and it should return to normal. hope that helps

I am having problems with the touchwiz home, the app keeps stopping and I am not able to get to the phone number Board can't make any calls please help.
