still new to this android stuff. i'm from a blackberry and i really like that i can make folders there for diff apps so that i don't have a giant mess of apps just thrown about. is there a way to do that on the motorola droid? i haven't found a way. :(

oops! i put it on the wrong thread. could someone fix it? >_< sorry.

You can make folders on the desktop..but you can not in the pull-up app tab. Because that alone is like a stand-alone folder.

To do it on the home screen, long press, choose "folder" from the pop-up, choose "new folder". A folder will be on your home screen. If you open the folder you can then put apps inside the folder. You can also rename the folder by long pressing on the folder name while it is open.

You can use an app called "App organizer" to help you set up the folders and also give the folder an icon rather than the generic manilla folder look.

you can download something like dx top which lets you organize your app drawer and hide icons too

Although you can not make a folder inside the pull up app screen, you can hit the menu button while in it and choose to have it organized in a list format (alphabetically) rather than the grid format it defaults to. not sure if this would be an alternative option for you or not.
